John Wilburn Anderson, Jr., "Johnny", age 55, of Conyers, Georgia, died November 17, 2024. Despite an accident that left him disabled at age 24, Johnny found joy in fishing, visiting the lake, and cheering on his beloved Atlanta Braves. He possessed a unique ability to bring laughter and lightheartedness to any situation, often playfully aggravating his great-nieces and great-nephews who were deeply special to him. He will be remembered as a treasured son, brother and uncle.

Martha Frances Hanson Scott, born November 14, 1924, spiritedly embraced a century of life before her death on November 17, 2024. "Mama Scott", as she was affectionately known to many, was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the now late Thomas and Mary Hanson, lived most of her life in Tucker and Conyers, and most recently resided in Canton. Martha was a sweet southern lady, embodying the true essence of southern charm and grace with a little sass.

Jim was a proud Oklahoman, born and raised, until life brought him to Georgia. He was an active member of his community, serving as the President of the Lions Club in Mannford, Oklahoma, in 1982. Jim's sense of service extended to his faith, where he was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection in Conyers. He devoted countless hours of his time and skill to the Food Pantry Ministry of the church, and in 2018, was recipient of The Citizen Involvement Award for his contributions.

Robert (Bobby) L. Deal, 92, of Newborn, Georgia, died peacefully on November 7, 2024, at Haven Memory Care, Athens, where he received wonderful end-of-life care. He was born February 28, 1932, in Savannah, Georgia, the only child of Curtis S. and Mattie Rushing Deal. Bobby was 1949 Savannah High School “Accelerated Group 1” Class graduate where he played football and baseball. He also played second base in the American Legion Baseball League before serving his country. Later in life his real passion was golf -- a love he generously passed down to several generations of his family.

Born June 24, 1972, Kenny was an inspiring figure to many and was known for his love of people and ability to make conversation with anyone. He had a passion for music, dancing, spending his free time riding his 4-wheeler and traveling, often to churches near and far to share his love for singing.

She spent several years creating straw kitchen witches for local stores from her home and later worked in a local deli. She had a passion for painting ceramics and quilting, often spending hours on end with neighbors or anyone else who shared her love for the craft. Music was a significant part of her life as she enjoyed good bluegrass, dancing, and playing the piano. Additionally, she enjoyed playing the lottery. She was known for her love of attention and soc

Mary's love for children led her to work in several church nurseries throughout the years, and later she dedicated many years of her life to being a family caretaker, fulfilling both of these roles with much love. For many years, Mrs. Bruce worked in school cafeterias where she prepared and served meals to students. She was also in high demand as a sitter with the elderly. She sat many years with elderly individuals and couples, tending to their immediate needs of comfort. A woman of deep faith, Helen was a member of The Potter's House in Covington. Her love for God was manifested in her acts of selfless service to the church where she taught Sunday School and volunteered her time in countless ways at The Church of Jesus Christ in Milstead. Her most cherished role, however, was that of a caretaker for her family who meant the world to her. She found joy in preparing meals for others, adding a dash of love to each dish she cooked.
